A CONTEMPORARY ECHO OF THE HISTORICAL JACKET
The Brandebourg Jacket reinterprets historical jackets from which it takes its name, traditionally associated with ceremonial uniforms and service garments, translating them into a contemporary language. The silhouette is boxy and cropped, essential yet structured, designed to interact with the body without rigidity.
Material contrast defines the garment: bordeaux velvet shapes the main structure, while the front flannel plastron is finished with soutache trims that outline its contours. Handcrafted braided frog closures punctuate the front like graphic marks, while handcrafted shoulder details recall the idea of uniform and function, without ever becoming costume.
The cuffs are finished with passmenterie buttons, a further reference to historical dress and the garment’s sartorial language.
